The success of Music in Hospitals is largely down to our talented musicians, who not only perform to an excellent standard, but also have wonderful communication skills. Their sensitive approach, together with their understanding of the healthcare environment, contributes towards a warm and relaxed atmosphere.
All of our concerts are presented by small groups of professional musicians from a wide variety of cultures and styles, including singer/pianist duos, instrumental ensembles, jazz and folk groups and singer/guitarists. Musicians are carefully selected by audition for their high standard of musicianship, communication skills and breadth of repertoire.
We are so grateful to all our musicians for travelling long distances, sometimes in challenging weather and traffic conditions, to bring the joy and therapeutic benefits of live performances directly to patients, residents and clients throughout the UK. Our musicians leave a ray of sunshine wherever they perform.
