Leaving a legacy to Music in Hospitals shows your support and understanding for our work, the people we help and our vision for the future.  Whatever the amount it will be of enormous value to the charity, helping us to continue creating joy through live music for those who need it most of all.

Leaving a legacy to Music in Hospitals in your Will is very straightforward.  Here are three simple steps to help you.

Step One

You need to decide the type of legacy you wish to leave.

Residuary Legacy – A gift of all (or part) of the residue of your estate when all debts, charges and gifts have been deducted.

Pecuniary Legacy – A gift of a fixed amount of money

Specific Legacy – A gift of a particular item, e.g. A piece of jewellery, musical instrument or artwork.

Step Two

Your bequest to us is a very personal and valuable gift and we therefore ask that you take the time to consider how you would like us to use your legacy.

For our General Charitable Purposes – We would encourage our supporters to leave their gift to Music in Hospitals to use at our discretion.  This will ensure your gift is used where it is most needed.

For adults and children affected by a particular illness or disability -  You may have a particular cause that is close to your heart and would like your legacy to Music in Hospitals to provide concerts for adults or children experiencing a particular type of illness or disability.

For concerts in your local area or at a specific healthcare centre – If you choose to do this we would ask that you include a clause in your Will that allows us to use your legacy for our ‘general charitable purposes’ in the unfortunate event that the care centre you have chosen closes.

Step Three

You need to update your Will to include your gift to Music in Hospitals.  Your solicitor or professional adviser will be able to help you make a simple addition or amendment to your Will.
