In 2008 Music in Hospitals organised over 5,000 concerts throughout the UK, reaching 125,000 adults and children with all kinds of illness and disability.

In 2008/2009:
- We organised 4,967 live concerts in healthcare settings throughout the UK - an average of 14 live concerts a day.
- Our musicians visited some 1,500 different healthcare venues
- We worked with some 300 professional musicians - all of whom were carefully selected by audition
- Allocated 86.5% of total expenditure to direct charitable purposes
- Attracted donations and grants of some £440,000 from generous individuals, charitable trusts, companies, schools, clubs, local councils, community groups and other funding organisations
We recently carried out a survey of evaluation forms completed by healthcare staff after our concerts, from which we have found that the key objectives for Music in Hospitals are met in a significant majority of cases:
